the idea of storyscape panels is to tell a story, either real or imagined.  the panels shown here are from both categories.  the larger panels are approximately 18" x 15".  the Heidelberg Castle panel is a triptych while the other two larger panels are single panels.  the size can vary as needed to tell the story.  is there a story in your life or imagination that you would like to see in glass?

nighttime in the city
this piece is under creative construction......

the lights in a city at night are magical to me.  the buildings glow and often reflect colors different from the daytime due to light coming from many angles.  the colors are often very brilliant and have a glowing quality.  this panel is an illustration showing that effect.  I have used dichroic glass to create the many colors and shimmering glow.

remembering the castle
I lived in Germany for several years when I was growing-up.  the Heidelberg Castle was a favorite destination; I loved playing in the grounds with my sister and visiting family.  the panels here are my interpretative memories in glass of the Castle.  I have written a bit of the history in the red and cream on the left side of the main panel.  the central keep and stairs are in the center panel with the clock tower and main gate tower created in the side panels.

my parents purchased the oil painting of the Castle on the left below, during a visit to Heidelberg.  many years later, I did the watercolor of one of the secluded stairways inside the Castle grounds.  both of those works plus the glass images are in my home now.

fairy tale forest
my interpretation of a forest for unicorns and other magical creatures...where else would one find pink and lavender trees?

paris memories
this piece was created for my father-in-law to note special memories of the years he and his young family lived in Paris. the cream building on the right replicates their home.  Other favorite places such as the Place de la Concorde are included and the George V Cafe are shown on the Arc de Triomphe.
